It's with a truly saddened heart that I must report Phil and Mia's passing during the night last night. They were still in a very early, critical time of their lives and upon further examination, appear to not have been developing quite as they should have for their ages. This is so disappointing but at the same time I feel a sense of peace that they were given a fighting chance. Without some help from Emma, they would have had NO chance and surely died. They all did everything they could. What they learned in these past four days gave them abundant, unprecedented research information that will save COUNTLESS hummers for the rest of time. ♥ RIP sweet little Phil and precious little Mia. You were loved abundantly from the moment we saw you -- thank you for what you left us. ♥
