Adventures with Mel and Syd

A few screeches & deets heard in the distance but all in all ‘Twas a quiet night until…1:51am that’s when the real eggscitement  began. Was it a parent that landed on the porch?

Adelaide stepped out 2:02am flapped & walked all around the outside until something spooked Adi back in at 2:25am.

For the 2nd time an owl landed on the porch 2:26am (not shown), looked at the kidz then left 2:27am but returned for a 3rd visit this time landing on the playground 2:38 for 2 minutes. Adi stepped out again 2:46am.

Most of her time was spent staring at the greenbelt. Was Adi seeing & hearing a parent? While Adi was on the porch by the door, the same owl (4th visit) landed on the roof just above 3:36am.

They both stared at one another quietly for 2 minutes then the owl took off. We noticed the palm cam moved 3:40am. Since the cameras have a bit of lag time between them, we needed to wait for the Boom cam to catch up to see what happened. Folks hold on to your seats.
The same owl that had been visiting landed on the palm cam. This was the 5th visit of the evening. Kanga was up & zoomed in. We all think IT WAS SYDNEY.

The owl remained on the camera for 20 minutes watching. Adi stared at her from the porch & Hunter from inside looking out.

After Syd flew off at 4:00am,
Adi jumped up onto the roof and began exploring & surveying the Kingdom.(see all Aj's pics HERE )
A dismount at 4:36am scoring a perfect 10. Adi then went inside 4:38am. Adi was outside for a total of 1 hour & 52 minutes.  It was a very entertaining overnight.

Don’t miss out. Join us each evening or wee hours. Will tonight be the night that Hunter joins Adi on the porch ?
Stay tuned..
Trust us you won’t be disappointed.
