Adventures with Mel and Syd

Started as a slow night, with only 2 treats taken from the Prey Box by midnight. Between midnight and 2 am, however, the owls became much more animated, swooping down for a total of 4 more critters. seem to be relying on the PB quite as much as they did before, they obviously still know where the best goodies in town are to be found, and are more than happy to drop in!”.

As time ticked on & sunup approached, LOV - Lacking Owl Visuals was evident except for one visit. Most of the wee hours were spent hearing “The Sounds of Silence” until a screech 5:05am & coyotes 5:13am.

At 5:30am our attention was drawn to a thud. What’s was it you ask? It was an owl landing on the PB, jumping in, making sure nothing left, flying up to the fence, back into the PB for one final check just to make sure then departing to the greenbelt to hunker down for the day. Which owl was it? It looked quite like Hunter.

Join us tonight during prime viewing hours approx. 8:25pm – 2:00am OBT to get a glimpse of the Owls.
