Intense wildfires in 2012 damaged many areas of Minnesota’s Superior National Forest, which is home to species like osprey and bald eagles and the threatened Canada lynx. American Forests and the U.S. Forest Service are planting 88,000 pine, spruce and cedar trees to help restore some of the fire-damaged forest to healthy habitat for wildlife.
