Pound for pound, Barn Owls consume more rodents – often regarded as pests by humans – than possibly any other creature. ✿ We remind viewers that sometimes owlets may not survive - the parents will dispose of things in "The Owl Way" -viewer discretion is advised, this is nature and the "Owl way". ✿ ~ ✿ “Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. NBG Eagle cams on air NOW

Incubation is defined as adding heat to the eggs.

Will the female exhibit a certain behavior before laying her eggs?
The female will stick close to the nest and seem restless, walking to and fro and rearranging the nest lining. She may assume a hunched over position during labor as well.
The generation of an egg and the laying of the egg are very energy consuming for the female eagle. The first outward sign that she is about to lay an egg is pulling the soft nest material up around her. ” the process of forcing the egg out can take a few minutes to about a half hour or more”.
