Adventures with Mel and Syd

The UFO mystery owl enjoyed many snacks from the feed box as both Adi and Hunter watched and learned the lesson.

Thanks to Robin from SPO chat for getting it all on film

They both found the comfort of the weeping ecua tree as a perch to hide and watch and learn. They spent a lot of time there last night.

Hunter grabbed a treat off the playground then went into the box to eat 11:34pm.

The Kidz have been honing their survival skills, flapping, flying, perching, balancing & pouncing.

Adi ate a treat on 1st playground platform at 2:56am.

We noticed the boom cam shake several times while both kidz were in view meaning the UFO mystery owl returned. The owl quietly watched the kidz play then it went into the feeding box. Hunter immediately jumped to the PG’s 2nd platform scaring the owl off. Both kidz were on the Feedbox taking turns hopping in and out. They did not retrieve any treats.

Both were on the Kastle roof 5:27am then Hunter decided to fly down to the ground. Her head was seen on Palm cam maybe she was on a fence or pvc pipe (not sure).

Adi joined her down below (shown on video below) but returned to the safety of the Kastle once crows started cawing at 5:34am. With the sun being up & crows in the area, Hunter gets chased by one crow and decided to hunker down out of sight for safety reasons and is spending the day out in the trees.

Stop by tonight at sunset PST to see when Hunter returns..
