SNN (ScrollingNetworkNews) ✿ ✿ Our Mel and Sydney returned to their nesting box with plenty of bonding occurring..but after 2.5 months of Sydney in the box from Dec 2013 to mid Feb 2014, the lack of prey gifts from Mel ( perhaps due to the severe and historic drought underway in California)and they have forgone the nesting process this year as many other raptors ✿ Compared to other owls of similar size, the Barn Owl has a much higher metabolic rate, requiring relatively more food. Pound for pound, Barn Owls consume more rodents – often regarded as pests by humans – than possibly any other creature. ✿ We remind viewers that sometimes owlets may not survive - the parents will dispose of things in "The Owl Way" -viewer discretion is advised, this is nature and the "Owl way". ✿ ~ ✿ “Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. Adventures with Mel and Syd

With inside cam dark but audio still on, our imaginations went wild listening to our owls screeching, chittering & deeting 5:22pm, 5:36, 5:37, 5:38, 5:40, & 5:43pm.
Who is it? Where are they? How close?

Cams came up just before 8pm. They eluded the paparowlzzi once again.

If you missed Owlsome trivia
Viewers and players had a great time playing. Once the game was over we were treated to screeches 9:15, 9:16 & 9:52.

Then quiet till we heard distant screeches at 3:13am which came closer & closer 3:14.
Series of screeches heard 4:14 & 4:55. Sounds of cute chittering heard 4:56 – 4:58.
Pehaps kissy facing in the Palmz?

UFO aka idunno ;) made a brief appearance 5:02. Boom cam showed a quick flyby to the Kastle & maybe a touch of the porch followed by a distant departing screech 5:03
.
Wait there’s more...
Idunno Owl returned dropping from a palm onto the playground as shown on BEV cam 5:11.
It looked around then took off towards us crossing over to boom cam 5:12am.
 Everyone ducked!
