CORPUS CHRISTI — The Texas State Aquarium released three great horned owls Monday at the Hans and Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge.
The owls had undergone several months of rehab at the aquarium.
Two of the birds were found in the Flour Bluff area last March and one at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi last May after falling out of their nests.
The aquarium took the birds in and conditioned them to fly and hunt live prey before releasing them.
