Pound for pound, Barn Owls consume more rodents – often regarded as pests by humans – than possibly any other creature. ✿ We remind viewers that sometimes owlets may not survive - the parents will dispose of things in "The Owl Way" -viewer discretion is advised, this is nature and the "Owl way". ✿ ~ ✿ “Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. Adventures With Syd - Day 5

Yesterday, Syd played with the ROUS, shredded it a little and placed it back into the pantry 10:50 - 11:10am ish. She horked 4:20pm & immediately devoured the ROUS. All gone 4:34.

Syd stepped out onto the porch 8:51 & flew off in the direction of the trees 8:57. Owl flew by 3:59 then landed in the tree looking towards the greenbelt, not the Kastle as usual. It took off 4:22.
Deets heard as Syd landed in the tree 5:13. She darted to the Kastle, went in then took a nap 5:14.
