Pound for pound, Barn Owls consume more rodents – often regarded as pests by humans – than possibly any other creature. ✿ We remind viewers that sometimes owlets may not survive - the parents will dispose of things in "The Owl Way" -viewer discretion is advised, this is nature and the "Owl way". ✿ ~ ✿ “Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. Rescue

Glenn Prichard our friend to the blog and  builder and owner of  Nature's Remedy owlboxes  received a call about a barn owl on the ground. The owlet who's "nest" was inside a wall about 20 feet up was taken to Placerita Nature Center. It will be examined thoroughly there and then be sent to a rahab facility in Simi Valley where it will learn to hunt along with other barnies its same age. It will be released right where Glen found it so it can reunite with its family.

All of Nature's Remedys nesting boxes are hand built by disabled combat veterans; they proudly employ and support our veterans!
