SNN (ScrollingNetworkNews) ✿ ✿ Our Mel and Sydney returned to their nesting box with plenty of bonding occurring..but after 2.5 months of Sydney in the box from Dec 2013 to mid Feb 2014, the lack of prey gifts from Mel ( perhaps due to the severe and historic drought underway in California)and they have forgone the nesting process this year as many other raptors ✿ Compared to other owls of similar size, the Barn Owl has a much higher metabolic rate, requiring relatively more food. Adventures & NiteTime Antics

Maggie is 53 days and Boomer is 51!
8:29 1 Gopher to Boomer
9:50 1 fat Rat to Maggie
10:08 Gopher to Boomer, both Boomer and Maggie have a play with it , jump & pounce, jump & pounce and then to the back pantry with it

Owl comes to the roof at 10:28pm and stays for a few minutes and then flies off.
Kids still playing with the third treat and gives no threat response to the rooftop owl.
Rooftop Owl back again for 20 mins
Babies react like its a parent.
