A Letter from Paris
Being the romantic Mel is, he surprised me with this great trip to Paris to celebrate our
1 yr Anniversary.
I have to say that the treats are a little strange tasting, but the sights are breath taking. How many can say that they've kissed under the Eiffel Tower?
Especially nice was the park Jardin du Luxembourg with its fountains that we dipped in the wee hrs of the night.
We had heard from the local owls that the most famous one is the Fontaine de Medicis, a romantic baroque fountain designed in 1624. The locale was perfect as it is located at the end of a small pond and a central sculpture group shows the Greek mythological figure of Polyphemus who watches the lovers Acis and Galatea.
There are also many trees in Gai Paree (I’ve picked up a little French) where Mel chose the perfect tree to carve our names in with his talons. He's such a sweetheart!
We should be home soon !
câlins et de baisers that's Hugs and Kisses for you that don't speak french!
Deet Deet,
Mel and Syd
