SNN (ScrollingNetworkNews) ✿ ✿ Our Mel and Sydney returned to their nesting box with plenty of bonding occurring..but after 2.5 months of Sydney in the box from Dec 2013 to mid Feb 2014, the lack of prey gifts from Mel ( perhaps due to the severe and historic drought underway in California)and they have forgone the nesting process this year as many other raptors ✿ Compared to other owls of similar size, the Barn Owl has a much higher metabolic rate, requiring relatively more food. Pound for pound, Barn Owls consume more rodents – often regarded as pests by humans – than possibly any other creature. ✿ We remind viewers that sometimes owlets may not survive - the parents will dispose of things in "The Owl Way" -viewer discretion is advised, this is nature and the "Owl way". ✿ ~ ✿ “Animals, like us, are living souls. Natures Remedy - Owl Boxes

"Our mission is to provide a natural means of environmentally safe rodent control 365 nights a year by providing safe habitat in the form of barn owl nesting boxes. “We believe that education is of the utmost importance when it comes to conserving a diverse and healthy ecosystem.” Nature's Remedy provides positive and fun projects for schools, clubs and scouting organizations through its promotion of "The HOOT Project" (Helping Out Owls Together). They also support our military and their families through donations and by hiring our veterans. Each of Nature's Remedy's barn owl nesting boxes is hand constructed by disabled war veterans.

Their goal is to provide an environmentally safe means of rodent/pest control as well as save their customers money by eliminating pesticides, traps and the labor costs associated with this.They also want to provide safe nesting areas for one of nature's biggest miracles, the barn owl.

Natures Remedy is a one stop company for barn owl nesting boxes. They consult with operations field managers for vineyards, orchards, crop fields, dairies, ranches and feed supply companies on box placement, coverage as well as provide, install and maintain the actual nesting boxes.
They provide and install barn owl nesting boxes. Maintain and service existing nesting boxes. Collect and remove biological waste from sites. Work with rescue organizations on the care and release of injured or orphaned barn owls.
