Adventures with Mel and Syd

Once again the rains hindered hunting. As the early morning weather turned for the good, approximately 3am, Mel or Sydney delivered a medium treat via a technique called “fling & fly”.
Not 100% sure but we think Adelaide ate the treat.

Syd arrived 3:49am with something in her talons & went into the box.

 Hunter snatched it & took it to the corner concealing it.

Not until 3:59am when Adi stole it did we realize the treat was a bird. This game of “steal the treat” went on for another 5 minutes until she decided to place it in the panty.

Syd returned looking wet with another bird 5:31am. She turned around, moved to the door & blocked the cam. We lost sight of the treat. Syd eventually stepped back never taking her eyes off the door. She had that alert look.
 Why you wonder? She was chased by crows & maybe the last bird was a family member. She began shredding 5:53am thus teaching the kidz how to dispatch & ensuring each had their fair share.

Sydney stays the day with Adi & Hunter.
How old are the owlets?
Adi is 30 days old and Hunter is 28 days old today. .
