Both owlets seemed to do okay with the loud booming of the fireworks and hung out in the cover of the weeping eucua tree. We noticed a very distinctive call from Adi where he sounded like whistle rasping.. very cute!

Adventures with Mel and Syd
New grasses were added to the prey box yesterday and the camera was back up giving us the view. The old hay straw was tossed to the ground by the feeding station and a few times last night an owl jumped down from the edge of the preybox to look into the straw for something to eat. With the new grasses both owlets were able to pass the test of it and scored food.
